“His mentions had been varied. Shiva the auspicious, Shiva the Warlord, Shiva the mountain God, Shiva the dweller of the cremation grounds, Shiva the creator of the universe, Shiva the destroyer, Shiva the ascetic, Shiva the loyal husband, Shiva the intoxicated, Shiva the meditator, Shiva the recluse, Shiva the Supreme spiritual master! Which One was He?”
“Yes, which one was He indeed, Gurudeva?” asked Shaunaka.
“The transformed seers spoke of Shiva in endearing terms, adding yet another epithet to His mentions. ‘Verily, He is all. He is Shiva Nataraja, Lord of the cosmic dance! ” replied Suta.
“One thing that stood out clearly in the descriptions, was that there was much paradox about Him. The moment anyone thought they understood one aspect of Him, immediately another would come and juxtapose itself in contrast. And that was the way He was known by most people: As the greatest enigma in the pantheon of the hindu Gods,” continued Suta.
“Truly Gurudeva, Shiva is a great enigma,” said Shaunaka.
“Yes,” Suta continued, “No one was ever sure of His antiquity, or His antecedents; none knew who His parents were, or if He was actually a sibling to the Vedic Gods. Some said He was Brahma’s son, others asserted He was Swayambhu, the Self-created, who, after manifesting Himself, in fact, created Brahma also.”
“So what is the truth, Gurudeva? Who created who?”
“No one could know for sure,” said Suta. “Every search for Him spiraled into a concentricity of a higher realm. Even after hearing about Him endlessly, one would come back to the same mystery.”

"हाँ, वह कौन से वास्तव में थे, गुरुदेव?" शौनकजी ने पूछा।
"रूपांतरित द्रष्टाओं ने शिवजी के बारे में धीरज से कहा, उनके उल्लेखों में एक और प्रसंग जोड़ा गया है। वास्तव में, वह सब है। वह शिव नटराज हैं, जो लौकिक नृत्य के स्वामी हैं! ”सुतजी ने उत्तर दिया।
“एक बात जो विवरणों में स्पष्ट रूप से सामने थी, वह यह थी कि उसके बारे में बहुत विरोधाभास था। जिस क्षण किसी को लगा कि वे उनके एक पहलू को समझ गए हैं, तुरंत कोई दूसरा आएगा और इनके विपरीत खुद को अलग करेगा। और यह वह तरीका था जिसे वह ज्यादातर लोगों द्वारा जाना जाते थे: हिंडू देवताओं के  शिरोमणि   में सबसे बड़ी पहेली के रूप में, "सुतजी ने जारी रखा।
"सच में गुरुदेव, शिव एक महान रहस्य हैं," शौनकजी ने कहा।

"Those to whom Shiva gave his Darsana, came to be called rishis. These seers prayed differently from everyone else.” said rishi Suta.
“Differently?” asked Shaunaka.

"अलग?" शौनक ने पूछा।
“शिव के उल्लेख विविध थे। शुभ शिव , शिव युद्ध स्वामी, शिव पर्वत देवता, शिव श्मशान के निवासी, शिव सृष्टि के निर्माता, शिव संहारक, शिव तपस्वी, शिव निष्ठावान पति, शिव नशीला, शिव ध्यानी, शिव का वैराग्य, शिव सर्वोच्च आध्यात्मिक गुरु! वह कौन से थे? ”
"हाँ, वह कौन थे वास्तव में , गुरुदेव?" शौनक ने पूछा।

One day, Sati said to her Lord, “I fell in love with you even before I saw you,” She added. “The wood of this soul started to prepare itself to burn for you from the very time I saw a Shivalinga. I did so love the Shivlinga, and now I love you so much as Shiv Shanker, the handsome mendicant, who is my husband! My Swami, My Lord! Mine and only mine! She said happily."The Shivlinga can belong to all, but you, belong to me!” She looked at Him and then added,“Tell me more about the Shivlinga being your representation”
Shiva smiled. “The Shivlinga means many things at many realms, each true for that level of subtlety. It is a symbolic representation of absolute transcendence, Omkaar, the impersonal God leading to a spiritual understanding of supreme consciousness.”
“I see.”
“Whereas, in my Yogi roop,” Shiva continued, “Worshippers consider the immanence of God personified; the personal God, you know, the one with all the stories and folklore they sing of.”
“Yes. There are so many stories about you!” said Sati.
“It is how the ancient rishis conceived God in His unborn, invisible form as the Shiva Lingam. It is worshipped equally popularly as the Image of my own self, or as me!” said Shiva
"As i said, it means different things to people of different levels of understanding. The paramount understanding is this:“The Shivlinga means to convey that the transcendent or formless God, called nirakaar pervades the manifest world as immanence or God with form- sakaar ,” Shiva continued.
“Oh,” said Sati." I understand now, God is both formless and with form"
Later , when the Saptrishis tried to test Parvati for her spiritual knowledge, she shared with them all the right methods of worshiping the Shivlinga as a param bhaktini.

SHAIVISM TODAY SOUL SPEAK ( 14 ) WHAT'S GOING TO BECOME OF US ? आखिर क्या होगा हम सब का ?

With the Covid pandemic reaching Tsunamical dimensions throughout the world, most Governments have rightly imposed lockdowns and isolation periods at home.
Like i said twice before, till yesterday we were in control of our fabricated lifestyles, in control of our economics, our social standing, our entertainment, our exercise regimen, our eating habits, and so on; And one day we just woke up to see, hey presto, all gone. Just like that.
As if a magician made our whole comfort zone disappear, right in front of our eyes. Virtually Overnight, as another friend put it rather bluntly, " And just like that,money, social status and all that superficial shit, means nothing"
Whether we are vocal about the current crisis or whether we pray silently, whether we sermonise as though we are well informed, or whether we cock our ears to note any new information, whether we are part of the Official team trying to help, or whether we are the hapless citizen, obediently conforming to what we are being told to do, basically one question lurking in majority of the minds is, "Whats going to become of us?"
And the answer, well no one really knows.
If we couldn't even predict so much change in our centuries of schedule in just one day, how would we state with certainty whats going to happen. The truth is that God, Nature, call it what you want, has presented us with the 'Uncertainty Principle"
So, are we going to be pessimist about this? Are we going to wait hopelessly for doomsday? No. That is not the spirit of mankind, or all of life itself. Life strives to live, this, as the scientist will tell you, is one of the foremost signs of 'life,' it strives for itself. And man has been the epitome of all this.
Ever since we first made our appearance in rocky caves, we strove to find, discover, innovate, update, and move on.
We pride ourselves to be at least the crest of all creation ( science declaration ) , if not in the image of God Himself ( spiritual view ),
and we have done pretty well so far, all the way from discovering how to create fire, making the wheel and so on from IA ( Intelligent Apes ) to landing on the moon, creating cyberspace and AI (Artificial Intelligence) .
And yet, despite all the fantastic technology, invention, resource, communication, and global connection that our village planet has, we have come to our wits end.
What can we redeem? Two things come to mind:
A) We wrongly thought that we are the only species which has ownership on this planet. Legal titles do not give us that right over all the other animals, who live in the same habitat.
B) Even among our own kind, we made hierarchies of privilege, based on power and money.We gave importance to things, rather than beings.
So, while we don't really know what's next, the one thing we can do, is look for our lost compassion and kindness.
And how will that help in a real pandemic crisis, you may ask.
Well the answer is that it has always helped: It has always helped when in our darkest time we light the lamp of kindness.
It doesn't matter who is going to 'go' first. What matters is that we uphold certain principles now, which actually show Nature that we as a species also want to co -inhabit the Planet in our own place, with humility, compassion and understanding.
Try it. What have we got to lose more than what we already fear?

आज जब कोविद १९ एक पान्डेमिक बन चुक्का  है, और सुनामी के प्रकार सारे विश्व में फैल चुक्का है ,
अधिकतर सरकारों ने अपने अपने देशों में लाकड़ौन घोषित कर दिया है, और यह एक सही निर्णय है.

कितने अचम्बे  की बात है यह,की कल तक हम सब अपनी फैब्रिकेटेड ज़िन्दगियों के स्वयं मालिक थे , अपनी राशि , अपनी सोसाइटी , अपनी एंटरटेनमेंट , अपनी एक्सरसाइज, अपने खाने पीने के ; सभी चीज़ों के मालिक थे  , और फिर , एक सुबह हम जागे तोह छू मंतर!, सब कुछ गायब  हो  गया!
 जैसे किसी जादूगर ने हमारा सब  कुछ हमारी  ही आँखों  के सामने से रातों रात  अंतर्धान कर दिया हो ;
 रातों रात वह धन राशि , वह “सोशल स्टैंडिंग” , वह बेकार का “ शो ऑफ “  करना,  सब शुन्य  हो गया  .

चाहे हम इस मुसीबत के बारे में बात करते हों, या चाहे हम चुप चाप प्रार्थना करते हों, चाहे हम महानुभाव की तरह भाषण देते हों, या फिर अपने ही कान खड़े रखते हों कुछ भी जानकारी के लिए , चाहे हम सरकारी टीम का हिस्सा हों ,या फिर बेबस  नागरिक हों, जो हर आदेश का पालन करता है ; एक ही प्रश्न सभी के मन  को परेशान कर रहा है  :
" आखिर क्या होगा हम सब का ?"

और सच यह है की इसका सही उत्तर किसी को नहीं मालूम . अरे,  अगर हम सदियों के रूटीन  का एक दिन में उलट होना नहीं प्रेडिक्ट कर सके, तो हम यह कैसे कह सकते हैं की आगे क्या होगा ?  

सच यह है की कुदरत, भगवान्, ईश्वर जो भी आप उस शक्ति को बुलाना चाहते हैं , उस ईश्वर ने हम सब के सामने
" अन्न सर्टेंटी प्रिंसिपल " रख दिया है , यानि अब आगे क्या होगा यह निश्चित नहीं किया जा सकता .

तोह फिर क्या हम सब हार मानके,  हाथ पे हाथ रखे बैठ जाएँ ? क्या हम बेबसी से सृष्टि में प्रलये का इंतज़ार करें ?

नहीं . यह मानवता का प्रतीक नहीं है, यह जीवन का प्रतीक नहीं है, जीवन तो एक संघर्ष है ,जो हमें करना है,
कोई  साइंटिस्ट भी आपको यह कहेगा की संघर्ष ही तोह जीवन का प्रतीक है ,और मानव जाती जीवों में प्रधान हैं,
 इस लिए संघर्ष करना उनका साहस है. जबसे मानवता गुफाओं में जीती थी,उसने संघर्ष किया, अविष्कार के लिए,जाग्रत्तके लिए, “अपडेशन”के लिए,और इस प्रकार आगे बढ़ते रही .
साइंस के मुताबिक हम अपने आप को सृष्टि के सभी जानवरों में उत्तम मानते हैं,
और आध्यतमिक गुरु पुरुषों के मुताबिक भी हम स्वयं ईश्वर की छवि में बनाए गए हैं.

और अब तक देखा जाये तो मानवता ने काफी सफलता पाई है , गुफाओं के दिनों में ही हमने आग को उत्पन्न करना सीखा , चक्र या " व्हील " बनाया , और सयाने बंदरों से लेकर “ AI- आर्टिफीसियल इंटेलिजेंस” तक पहुँच गए ,चन्द्रमा पर लैंड कर गए , यहाँ तक की आर्टिफीसियल स्पेस , “साइबर स्पेस” भी बना गए ! लेकिन इतनी ज़बरदस्त टेक्नोलॉजी और इन्वेंशन होते हुए भी आज इस एक पान्डेमिक से हम सब को कुछ समझ नहीं आ रहा की आगे कैसे चलें.
आखिर हम क्या कर सकते हैं ?

दो चीज़ें मन में आती हैं

१ ) हमने यह सोचा की मानव जाती ही पृथ्वी की मालिक है , यह सोच गलत थी , लीगल डॉक्यूमेंट मानव के न्यायालय में अधिकार देते हैं , परन्तु इसका यह अर्थ नहीं की हम उस धरती के मालिक बन गए हैं .

२) मानवता के बीच में भी, हमने ऊंच नीच के दर्जे बना दिए , धनवान और शक्तिशाली लोगों को प्रथम रखा :
 हमने लोगों को नहीं बल्कि वस्तुओं को महत्वता दी.
इस लिए , चाहे हमें यह नहीं मालूम की आगे क्या होगा,एक चीज़ जो हमने खो दी है, उसे  हम दुबारा से ढून्ढ सकते हैं , और वह है करुणा.
जी हाँ ,करुणा ही वह आत्मशक्ति है जो Carona का सामना करेगी .

आप कहेंगे इतने गंभीर पान्डेमिक में करुणा कैसे सहायता करेगी ?
तोह मित्रों उसका उत्तर यह है की इतिहास गवाह है ,जब जब मानवता को इतनी गंभीर परिस्थितियों का सामना करना पड़ा, तो वह “ मानव की दुसरे मानव और दुसरे जीवों के प्रति करुणा”  ही थी जिसने सब कुछ ठीक कर दिया. जब भी घोर अँधेरे में हमने करुणा का दीपक जलाया है तोह अँधेरा दूर हुआ है : हमें अपने गुरुओं और पीरों की सिखाई हुई आध्यात्मिकता को फिरसे जाग्रत करना होगा.
अब कौन " तिक्केगा"  और कौन पहले " जायेगा " इस का कोई महत्त्व नहीं रहा,आवश्यक यह है,

 की अब हम मानवता के श्रेष्ट सिद्धांतों को अपनाएं ,इस सृष्टि को एक इशारा दें की अब हम भी ईश्वर की दी गयी सृष्टि में सब के साथ बारीदार होकर जीना चाहते हैं , हम अपना स्थान चाहते हैं, विनम्रता, करुणा, और अच्छाई के साथ.

मेरा आप सबसे आग्रेय है,अपने अंदर का दीप जलाओ,अपनी आध्यात्मिकता रोशन करो,
कोशिश करो मित्रों, अब और गुमाने के लिए रखा ही क्या है हमारे पास ?

The times of faith and devotion- श्रद्धा एवम भक्ति का समय

" When I saw periods of great sorrow and destruction, and realised my inability to do anything about it, I wanted to escape from it all; to, a void, to nothing. An escape from the unpredictability of life; that gave way to the counter thought, why is it that we want ultimate release from all life?”

And Shiva replied me in my heart, saying, “We shall speak of escape later, but for now ,let us examine sorrow and evil. To me, the excess of these do not indicate the end of the world, in the sense we should passively wait for self destruction. To me, they serve as indicators of spiritual inertia. Every being is Divine, but only a handful realise this. I am banking on the trust that even these handful of realised beings can actualize the welfare of others, by sheer vibration; the wind don’t forget, carries their message. In other words, let the doctors, engineers, scientists, mechanics, do their job. The spiritualist has a job too, to create love and kindness in the air, nay, to give a fresh air. The mystics know that such a time comes periodically, when there is danger of annihilation; they call it Kali yug. This can be overcome only by men of Shiva consciousness. They must face the challenge, such a time signals their call for performance. And, they come to use their most massive energies, using also the energies of mystics before them. They too, must prove the growth in their field. Verily the Great Sikh Guru Gobind declared that one holy warrior could fight over a hundred thousand foes. I ask you, in today’s time is it not significant that even one good man of God among you , can pray for Universal well being and neutralize the effect of a hundred thousand ignorant beings?  Meditate upon this.”
