SARVATRA BHAIRAVA- SHIVA IS EVERYWHERE.

SARVATRA BHAIRAVA
The Ancient Rishis of Kashmir  have a saying, 'Sarvatra Bhairav" . Everywhere, is Shiva. Why do they say so? Because , everything comes from Him, and to Him it will go, this is something most people know or believe. But what we do not fully understand, is that Everything always also 'Stays' in Him . At each moment of our lives , we are actually abiding in Shiva, but we are not aware of this, we do not commonly understand this, in the way that we accept that everything comes from Shiva and will go back to Him.
But the Kashmir Shaiv Darsana : Kashmir Shaivism says, There does come a time in the life of a seeker when there is a Divine arising from within. This spiritual arising from Shiva within, is called Udhyamo Bhairav . When this happens due to years of prayer and meditation, learning and introspection, and , of course, the Anugraha- Grace of Shiva, the yogi becomes enlightened.
But the spiritual journey is not complete with just enlightenment or self realisation, it must culminate in the seeing of Lord Shiva everywhere, Sarvatra Bhairav. This is when the seeker has merged so completely into the sought, that he cannot anymore distinguish anything from His Beloved Shiva, wherever he looks he can " See" Shiva ! North, South, East, West, Here, there, up,  down, everywhere!
Aum Namah Shivaye.

ॐ - A whole infinity reduced to a dot.

TELL ME YOUR STORY

That ‘Shiva was an aloof mendicant’, was the greatest misnomer.
He defied the very concept that the more mystic one is, the more detached he becomes. Contrary to what people had come to believe of Him, as the most mystic of all, He was desperately attached and fallibly infatuated, which made Him endearingly human.
He loved relationships, in fact, craved for them, surfing with equal intensity the crests of one and all in a tumultuous ocean of relationships and feelings; sometimes knowing, at other times eager to know, how his favourite people had surfaced to their present form in this ocean of manifestation: He always wanted a recap from the other’s story.
In each lifetime, in each story, He enjoyed sitting with His friends, sharing quality time in long conversations. They would exchange anecdotes and talk of the experiences gathered in each other’s absence. It was like filling in the blanks, putting in the pieces that fitted into a mystic Jigsaw. Unfailingly, each time, there would ultimately be that one glorious moment when, while sitting and exchanging their own private worlds and sojourns, the final piece would fit, completing the big picture.
And a silent but supremely powerful Oneness would dawn.
It was called Samadhi.

A mixing of the time worlds, in the stillness of now.
This would enable them not only to rejoice in the essential Oneness, but also enable the group to bring forth and introduce characters into the play that were hitherto unknown to the other.
Everything would just become a divine moment, a climax of the life lived. Samadhi.
The magical moment of transcendence was loved by the wise seers. They understood a divine sound, a divine vibration for it, and whispered it almost inaudib
ly…“AUM”.

The art of the littlest point.
A whole infinity reduced to a dot. And the dot crowned the Aum, represented by crowning the syllable
.

KING OF THE MOUNTAINS

After Sati passed away, Shiva wanted to leave Kailash and go away to some other place so that He could be left alone and not visited by anyone. So He went to see Himavat, the King of the Himalayas.

“My Lord, there is a strange and reclusive yogi, riding a hefty bull, who wants an audience with you,” said the royal guard.
“A yogi? On a hefty bull? It must be Shiva! Ah, have Him brought here with respect,” said Himavat.
“Greetings, your Highness,” said Shiva in a soft voice.
“Greetings, O Yogi of yogis, Shiva! I am blessed to have you in my Kingdom. Any service for me?”
“Too many people come looking for me in Kailash, and due to some very tragic circumstances,
I cannot be of any help to them... I just wish to be left alone” said Shiva.
“Yes,” said Himavat. “How may I assist you in that?”
“I would like to stay in one of your mountains, instead,” said Shiva,“So that I may carry out my meditations just like I used to, in Kailash,”
“What an honour, Shiva! Of course, please stay in any mountain, stay here! Take this palace, it is all yours!”
“Thank you,” said Shiva softly. “I do not need the palace at all, I just need a cave.”
“A cave? Take any cave my Lord! All the Himalayas are yours, you are Shailendra, King of the mountains” said Himavat.
“ You are too humble, your royal Highness,” replied Shiva softly,“Though we share that epithet, it is you, who are the King of Himalayas in reality.”
“Ah, be as that may be, it is all given by you, my Lord, I may be Himavat in this world cycle, but you shall remain King Emperor of the Himalayas, or any other mountain, as long as this world exists! And truly, as I do know, even after that!” Himavat got up from his throne, and escorted Shiva and Nandi to the palace windows through which they could see the entire mountain range.
The Himalayan snow bound peaks shone brilliantly against the winter sun.

SHIVA AND PARVATI SPIRITUAL TALKS

One day, Parvati asked Shiva, “ Lord, your talks are so full of spiritual wisdom, always. So do you get all these deep wisdoms in your Yoga abhyasa? I’ve been seeing you do all sorts of postures; Asanas as you call them.”

“Yoga asana is only a seat for the great flight to the self. meditation can be as synergized, as natural as my rides on Nandi. Or as tumultuous, with the energy of an untamed beast of the natural order. All of Nature’s things are like that. You need to be completely at oneness with them before you even start to mount the ride. Else you will just be overturned, which too is an important part in the process of learning, Sati,” replied Shiva.  It’s simple,” He Smiled and continued, “Yoga is not about your body. Yoga is about discovering your soul.”

“What about reading?” She asked.“What about reading the great Shrutis and Smritis, the great secrets and rahasyas by our rishis and gurus and those who have known Godhood?”

“Reading about universality, the interconnectedness of things,
is a good beginning, but when you suddenly feel this is a text about you yourself; that is when the beauty of the spiritual journey will fill you with its magnificent flavor,” said Shiva, “Ultimately, it is meditation that awakens you to yourself.”

“ Lord,  you know even I do try meditating. But sometimes, I have a really hard time… often, in the dark, if I light a candle, I can quiet my mind and pray, but it is different from meditation, right? In meditation, am I not supposed to turn off my mind completely?” asked Devi

“When you are meditating, don't think about what a meditation should be. We have a saying,“You don't find meditation. It finds you.Your job is just to give yourself some quiet repose. And let these waves come and go,” Shiva replied.
