The lessons with Shiva were endless. They had to be. His talk was profound, but so was His silence.
“You seem to be talking to me even when you are silent. Is it true or am I just too madly in love with you?”She asked.
“Silence is a language only a few understand,” said Shiva. “Those special moments when silence speaks, when stillness gives wings,” He whispered.
Even His smile was profound. Everything about Him was the embodiment of wisdom. Sati noticed that there were traces of this wisdom even when He joked.
“Tell me you love me,” She said one day. “Prove it with your poems and clever words.”
“Oh, but I do love you,” He said.“And it’s when you specifically ask me to say that I love you, I find myself speechless; such are your charms and magic,” Shiva laughed.
“Really?” Sati was pleased. “So go on, tell me more.”
“Before I met you, I had no wants. I was okay with everything that already was, but now…”
“Now?”
“Now it’s all changed, it’s all different”
“How?”
“Now you have spoiled the poor yogi,” He laughed.
“Spoiled the yogi?” Sati looked at Him with a twinkle in Her eye.
“I mean, you have spoilt my timings for yoga.”
“Oh, really? But you are aloof for days on end…and I thought it’s me for whom you don’t have any time…”
“That’s only when some very technical thought comes to me. Then I can’t let go until I see it to its logical culmination,” He looked at Her.
“Yes, I know. I know, and I understand, Chintan,” She said.
“But then, when I see you, and I see us together in this world, it all takes on a whole new meaning! The world is such a great place to be, with you by my side. I never thought I would want anything so much as your company.”

शिवजी के साथ पाठ

शिवजी के साथ पाठ अंतहीन था। और ऐसा होना ही था। उनकी बात गहरी थी, लेकिन उस  से भी अधिक गहरी उनकी चुप्पी थी।
“आप चुप रहते हुए भी मुझसे बात करते दिखते हैं। क्या यह सच है या मैं सिर्फ आपके  प्रेम  में पागल हूँ? ” सती  ने पूछा।
"शांत एक भाषा है जो केवल कुछ ही समजते है," शिवजी ने कहा। "वो खास पल जब मौन बोलता है, जब शांति पंख देती है," वह फुसफुसाए।
यहां तक ​​कि उनकी मुस्कान भी गहरी थी। उनके बारे में सब कुछ ज्ञान का अवतार था। सती ने देखा कि जब उन्होंने मजाक किया तब भी इस ज्ञान के निशान थे।

"अब आपने गरीब योगी को बिगाड़ दिया है," वह हंसे।
"योगी को परेशान किया?" सतीजी ने उसकी आँखों में एक टिमटिमाते हुए से देखा।
"मेरा मतलब है, आपने योग के लिए मेरा समय खराब कर दिया है।"
"क्या सचमे? लेकिन आप  तोह  दिनों के लिए अलग-थलग रहते हैं ... और मुझे लगा कि यह  मैं हूँ  जिसके लिए आपके पास कोई समय नहीं है ... "
"यह केवल तभी होता है जब कुछ बहुत ही गंभीर अथवा तकनीकी विचार मेरे पास आते हैं। तब तक मैं इसे जाने नहीं दे सकता जब तक कि मैं इसे इसकी तार्किक परिणति के लिए नहीं देखता, ” शिव ने सती की और ओर देखा।
"हाँ मैं जानती  हूँ। मैं जानती हूं, और मैं समझती  हूं, चिंतन, ” सती ने  कहा।
"लेकिन तब, जब मैं तुम्हें देखता हूं, और मैं इस दुनिया में हमें एक साथ देखता हूं, यह सब एक नया अर्थ लेता है! दुनिया ऐसी महान जगह है, जहां आप मेरे साथ हैं। मैंने कभी नहीं सोचा था कि मैं आपके साथ होना इतना  चाहूंगा। "

KALI AND SHIVA

 KALI AND SHIVA

This fabulous picture of Ma Kali atop Shiva has many meanings at many levels.
The famous story is that Kali was very angry about the injustice and wrong doings on earth. She wanted to finish the world, and began her Tandava.
All creatures went helter skelter, looking for shelter, as the world began to crack up with earthquakes and demolitions .No one could stop her, she was unstoppable in her rampage.
It was true that evil had exceeded and needed to be stopped, but also true that not all people were evil, not all needed to be taken to task. Shakti can be glorious as Durga, and she can be fear invoking, as Kali, it depends on the Bhava we set for Her. If we trouble Mother Nature too much, she is bound to get into a Kali Mood. So, then Shiva, her husband lay down on her path, knowing that this will stop her, that she wont "over step" him. But she stepped even on Him.
A minute later she realised that this was her dearest beloved, and She calmed down...the wife in her emerged, and she lolled her tongue in a gesture of "sorry"
The Maha Pralaya was thus averted.
This is the katha( story) for which we pray to Ma Kali.

But God and Shakti are multidimensional, so there can be many understandings of the symbolism. The esoteric meaning can also be:
The power of Maya (bhadrakali) is so great that it can make even God Himself forget his own self and slip into an unconscious state.
It is only when the force of His own Maya is lifted that he may slowly rise. This is somewhat on the lines of the Kashmir Shaiv Darsana : Kashmir Shaivism Which states that this forgetfulness and remembrance of His own Nature is the eternal play of God and His own Maya. Because, she, as Shakti, is the equal Half of the Supreme! It is said Shiva without shakti is inert like a shava, till he doesnt recognize that the shakti is His own, that in the highest reality, they are never separate! So also, Shiva is called Shaktimaan, the wielder of His own Maya.

मा काली की इस शानदार तस्वीर के कई स्तरों पर शिव के कई अर्थ हैं।
प्रसिद्ध कहानी यह है कि मा काली धरती पर अन्याय और गलत कामों को लेकर बहुत क्रोधित थीं। वह दुनिया खत्म करना चाहती थी, और अपना तांडव शुरू किया।

यह तभी होता है जब उनकी अपनी माया का बल उठा लिया जाता है कि वह धीरे-धीरे उठ सकते है। यह कुछ हद तक कश्मीर शैव दर्शन: कश्मीर शैववाद की तर्ज पर है जिसमें कहा गया है कि यह अपनी ही प्रकृति का विस्मरण और स्मरण ईश्वर और उनकी अपनी माया का शाश्वत नाटक है। क्योंकि, वह, शक्ति के रूप में, सुप्रीम के बराबर आधे है! यह कहा जाता है कि शक्ति के बिना शिव एक शव की तरह निष्क्रिय हैं, जब तक वह यह नहीं पहचानते कि शक्ति उनकी अपनी है, उच्चतम वास्तविकता में, वे कभी अलग नहीं होते हैं! तो, शिव को शक्तिमान भी कहा जाता है, जो अपनी माया के क्षेत्रक हैं।

GREAT LOVE STORY

What could one write about Him, who is Timeless, Limitless and Boundless? And then, the question itself revealed the answer. One sure mark of Shiva, is that He is bound to Parvati. It is said of Shiva that He does not incarnate. Of Parvati's bhakti (devotion), it is said She is one who can make even Shiva incarnate.
He is Timeless, and yet when Parvati manifests, it is time for Shiva to arrive. He is formless, but when She arrives, He manifests form. She is His eternal soulmate, and they always find each other, through the mists of cosmic time, even through lifetimes; such is the magic of their love! For it is said, Parvati is His wife even from Her previous birth, when She was called Sati.
Shiva is known to be a great yogi, a great chief of ganas, destroyer of evil, great teacher, and so many more amazing things, but importantly,he is the Ishta of marriage! And behind the innumerable tales about Him,at the core of the myriad roles that He plays out, Shiva's story,is essentially a love story, over and over again.

“His mentions had been varied. Shiva the auspicious, Shiva the Warlord, Shiva the mountain God, Shiva the dweller of the cremation grounds, Shiva the creator of the universe, Shiva the destroyer, Shiva the ascetic, Shiva the loyal husband, Shiva the intoxicated, Shiva the meditator, Shiva the recluse, Shiva the Supreme spiritual master! Which One was He?”
“Yes, which one was He indeed, Gurudeva?” asked Shaunaka.
“The transformed seers spoke of Shiva in endearing terms, adding yet another epithet to His mentions. ‘Verily, He is all. He is Shiva Nataraja, Lord of the cosmic dance! ” replied Suta.
“One thing that stood out clearly in the descriptions, was that there was much paradox about Him. The moment anyone thought they understood one aspect of Him, immediately another would come and juxtapose itself in contrast. And that was the way He was known by most people: As the greatest enigma in the pantheon of the hindu Gods,” continued Suta.
“Truly Gurudeva, Shiva is a great enigma,” said Shaunaka.
“Yes,” Suta continued, “No one was ever sure of His antiquity, or His antecedents; none knew who His parents were, or if He was actually a sibling to the Vedic Gods. Some said He was Brahma’s son, others asserted He was Swayambhu, the Self-created, who, after manifesting Himself, in fact, created Brahma also.”
“So what is the truth, Gurudeva? Who created who?”
“No one could know for sure,” said Suta. “Every search for Him spiraled into a concentricity of a higher realm. Even after hearing about Him endlessly, one would come back to the same mystery.”
