ज्ञानाधिष्ठानं मातृका

The Siva Sutras teach that Matrika, the Universal Mother,is the master director of the triple knowledge consisting of Anava mala, Mayiyamala and Karmamala. When Universal energy is known in a correct way, it is Svatantrya Sakti,When it is known in a wrong way it is energy of illusion and it is called Maya Sakti. So Matrika is both the one who binds and the one who frees you.

It is the Un- understood Mother that is the basis of the limited knowledge. She ( Matrika) brings about knowledge in a limited form, e.g. ”I am imperfect”(anavamala), “I am thin or fat”(mayiya mala), “I am doing an engineering job (karma mala) and by penetration in the minds of the listener, brings about a feeling of sorrow, pride, joy, and passion.

Therefore Matrika Sakti is the Hetu (cause) of all creation and limitation, and She is always seated authoritatively, in the midst of all this confusion and ignorance ,reduction and limitation, as the Queen Mother who is waiting to be re-cognized by the sadhaka.

The most amazing miracle is that by studying and practising Shaiva sacred literature like Siva Sutras. Prtyabhijna and Vijnanbhairava, we get to the ultimate Transcendent world of Shiva's Divinity, through the recognition of Shakti pervasive in our own manifest world!

Just like this wonderful device, in the journey of life too, we have a GPS, which directs us to our destination.
This GPS is GOD'S Positioning System.
Yes, once you switch it on, God does the same thing:
He checks where you are now, and gives you directions to follow, so that you may reach the greatest soul destination, which is His own home, waiting to receive you.

Swami Vivekananda said, the same faculty that we employ in dreams and thoughts, namely, imagination, will also be the means by which, we arrive at Truth. When the imagination is very powerful, the object becomes visualised.

God is like a top Aeroplane flyer, whose children know that their father has fantastic flights in the sky. And it is when they want to be like him one day, that He takes off the winged bade from His own flying jacket and pins it on his beloved kids...and that badge is "Imagination"

Yes, we human beings have a very special gift that no other animal has- that of Imagination. This is possible from a activity of the brain which is different from routine perception, analysis and rationalisation. While all animals have these three, the fourth facility is present only with us. And therefore Swami Vivekananda said that we must always use our imagination in a positive way, we must create dreams, not nightmares.

The flow of Nature is in the simple things
and if we look carefully,we see that all the creatures

Except us humans.

Us humans with all our intelligence and technology,
invention and innovation, with all our discovery of the laws of Nature, sadly we have forgotten the main law:
To live life simply and in the moment.

You see, the greatness of Nature is that everything every creature needs is already provided for. But Nature does not account for hoarding; And all species of animals understand this except , perhaps squirrels, who pack their nuts before winter!

Nature's design is to make you live one day at a time, and that is the way you get most out of life. When you live in the moment, you relish it fully. When you worry about the future, or regret about the past, you lose the moment. When you lose the moment, you have lost life momentarily. And so we lead a whole life in thinking about the future, and land up not living at all! Always saving things for a better time tomorrow, but when tomorrow comes, we are saving for day after, and so it goes on, till, one day, as is again the law of Nature, our body comes to an end. And we exit the world without having lived.

Like the lion or the deer, both of who have a healthy chase each day, one running for food and the other running for life. But The lion does not hoard, he hunts for the day; and the deer does not worry about the lion he will meet tomorrow, he takes care of the moment.

So too, we should live life in the moment, we should live simply, because, being simple is to be spiritual, and this is the great message of Lord Shiva's beautiful name as " Bholenath"

 Chitih svatantra  vishvasiddhihetu, svechchaya svabhittow vishvamunmeelyatih.

This is Pratyabhijnahrdayam, O Parvati! Learn to re-cognize your self! Chitih, which is absolute consciousness, by its own free will – Svatantrya, is the cause of manifestation, preservation and again re-absorption or withdrawal of the universe into itself. Such withdrawal is what we call destruction of the world or dissolution. By Her own power, She unfolds the universe on Her own screen, and there result endless cycles of time and creation.”

“Fascinating!” said Parvati.

“Yes. It is. But what’s really fascinating is the perennial magic that creation has…”

“Magic?” asked Parvati.

“To make each life think that the world began with the opening of its eyelids,” said Shiva.“And that is the very nature of the human mind - to think that life began with its own birth.”

This is more like a dance, a participation, you have been drawn by the force, therefore accept it as the initiator of the dance. You are conscious of your own rhythm, now, follow its steps, let it lead to you to spontaneity. Enjoy the dance.

When you are both in perfect harmony, when you both merge into the dance, when you have so far responded to her every call, when; she finally accepts you as a mate, you will learn to make a new step, and she shall respond. This is not mastery of one over the other, this is a meeting of two masters. A jugalbandi, a duet. The eternal meditator at the transcendence and the eternal energy force tapping at the manifest.

The force of energy, is the most unfathomable, yet the simplest of all. It, infact, is so simple, that you cannot fool it, that is its innate nature, a sort of self defence mechanism against ill conceived manipulation and contriving.
So, when you have examples of people using this energy for ulterior gains, for malevolence rather than benevolence, for chaos rather than harmony, for regression, rather than evolution, the dance will not last long. If your rhythm remains friendly, all old intimations come back, you are an old yogi through past lifetimes, and you will grow from where you left.
