Shaivism Today Soul Speak ( 1 )

MORE AND MORE, IS ACTUALLY GETTING US LESS!

These days, we live in an age of fierce competition; It is an age dominated by sales pitch, incremental volumes, market exploitation, competitor strategy, and so on. It's always about higher targets. And we have gotten so used to this that we don't find anything wrong, or entangling in this. It's a way of life.We are fixed firmly in the box of corporate culture. So fixed in trying to make a living, that i sometimes think that we have completely forgotten to live!

God has created ' things', for us to enjoy in Nature, like fruit for our body and wonderful landscapes for our soul, but mankind has given us currency- something with which we put a value to all of the 'things' available.
God made people, but people made society.

Society was the first entity that came into being, even though God did not create it. It was a rather funny thing; a getting together of things created, to create in turn an entity that had no individuality of its own, yet had a formidable effect on the very individuals it comprised of. It killed individual growth, and no one could raise the voice of his heart above whatever it would declare as a verdict in any given situation.

And now we have gone a step further, to 'Corporate'.
Corporate is that extension of society which has only monetary gain as its motive, to the exclusion of everything else: and so we have words like exploitation and target filling up our daily routine . And amazingly, we do not even notice the negative input!

We need to seriously reconsider who has become the target here.
We need to seriously reconsider if more is actually getting us less. And when we had less of' things' we had more of Life!
So, if we make a conscious effort to actually move to a world which is less about money and more about harmony, what happens to present day corporate structure?

Someone once asked if there were no wars, what would armies do? Well they could involve themselves in a hundred different vocations, which add to the welfare of fellow beings; Good soldiers are so well trained for helping others!
So too, corporates would do well to change their mission statements from ' making profit' , to ' profit the planet'
It would be so wonderful if social enterprise actually became infused with spiritual motive.
Namah Shivaye.
